VT is specialized in maritime logistics services for the inland tanker shipping market. We transport mineral oils, chemical products, biofuels and lubricating oil for various clients. Since 2009, we have also expanded our maritime activities into Panama, Oman, Spain and Sweden.Due to the expansion of our Finance department, we are looking for a full-time Business Controller
Responsible for:
- Preparing and analyzing monthly and quarterly reports for the Dutch branch
- Analyzing monthly and quarterly reports internationally (Spain / Panama branches)
- Setting up reports, both financial and operational as well as possible links and connections between them
- Assist colleagues in other departments with setting up and/or using reports that take routine work off their hands
- Assisting the CFO with projects and ad-hoc activities
- Administrative work (invoicing, processing incoming invoices). These activities are not predominant, but can be part of the role
Job requirements
- Education at HBO (higher professional education) level with a business economics or business administration background
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar position in the profit sector
- Experience with cash flow forecasting
- Experience with (international) consolidations
- Dutch/English/Spanish language is an advantage
- Able to work independently
- Proactive attitude
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong personality
- Affinity with inland navigation/shipping
